Sound

The voices of the forest

The video shows a review of audio as part of the editing process. The audio tracks for the film are made up of layered sound recordings taken in the forest, and the mellow voice of the narrator. This combination gives the picture an natural, outdoors, woodland vibe, while portraying a biography which explores life's meaning in relation to the earth, spirituality, religion, personal history, friendship, love, and nature. The audio from the interview has been variously manipulated, to give the best overall sound quality. The original interview contained a constant drone from the air-conditioning in the small conference room where interviews were held. This required skillful application of an audio filter to remove.
